The tour will feature three distinct phases in the 2024 Race to Dubai, each designed to elevate the golfing experience.
The first phase, known as the ‘Global Swings,’ is a groundbreaking approach to competition. Spanning from November 2023 to August 2024, these five unique ‘Swings’ will introduce Swing Rankings, offering a fresh perspective on performance evaluation. The Opening Swing, International Swing, Asian Swing, European Swing, and Closing Swing will each present its own Swing Champion, adding an extra layer of excitement with a $1 million Bonus Pool shared among them.
Throughout the season, the Rolex Series events remain a constant highlight. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship, and the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, will continue to shine as premium showcases of the world’s best golfers and innovative strategies.
New additions add even more allure to the 2024 season, including the Dubai Invitational and the Bahrain Championship. The revival of the Volvo China Open amplifies the global reach of the tour, extending its influence to golf enthusiasts across the world.
The second phase, known as the ‘Back Nine,’ takes place from August 2024 to October 2024. Featuring nine historic tournaments, including the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, this phase provides an opportunity for non-members from the top 70 of the FedEx Cup to showcase their prowess and qualify for the DP World Tour Championship.
The third phase, the ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs,’ unfolds in November 2024. This climactic chapter includes the Abu Dhabi Championship and the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai – the grand finale that crowns the Number One player of the season. With a $6 million Bonus Pool awaiting the top ten players, the stakes have never been higher.
