France Complete the Grand Slam to Win the 6 Nations

France won the grand slam and a first Six Nations title in 12 years with a 25-13 victory over England in a thrilling Test match in Paris.

France won their first Six Nations title since 2010 by defeating England 25-13 in an impressive all-round display at the Stade de France on Saturday.

Victory also gave Les Bleus their first Grand Slam in 12 years and underlined their status as one of the favourites to win next year’s World Cup on home soil. As a crowd of nearly 80,000 celebrated, with the Stade transformed into a disco as music blared out over the public address system.

World Rugby Men’s 15s Player of the Year 2021, Antoine Dupont scored Les Bleus’ decisive third try in Paris, which secured the win.

Defeat for a gutsy but outclassed England, who were without several first-choice players through injury, meant that for the third time in five years they had lost three matches in a single Six Nations.

Victory was France’s fifth out of five in the 2022 Championship and ensured they finished four points clear of Ireland, who earlier maintained their slim hopes of piping Les Bleus to the title with a defeat of Scotland in Dublin.

Following six weeks of intense action it was a fitting way to bring down the curtain on a thrilling men’s Six Nations with France securing a momentous Grand Slam.
